Welcome to my web site. I have loved popcorn for as far back as I
can remember. If I had to pick a time when I began my love for popcorn I would
have to say it was my Father that handed me my first bag. Every Sunday we would
go to Sears. I swear my Father knew when they were popping Popcorn. The smell
took you from the door right to the Popcorn cart. The mere memory makes my
mouth water. But it’s not important what we did at Sears as much as the long
ride home. We were in our Ford Country Squire just me and dad. As we ate
our Popcorn freshly popped by Sears, We talked about family and as I became
older life's most important thing, dating. When I moved from home he continued
going to Sears for his popcorn. I remember seeing the bag on the counter on
Sundays. Which to me meant no one went with dad that day because there was
extra and I would finish eating it. I then would walk outside and see dad in the
garage and we would talk while eating his Sears Popcorn. He is gone now but
I remember him and the memories in my mind.
I share my memories with my children and those who are around me and my love of
popcorn. In my home there is always Popcorn. Any one who knows me knows I have
Popcorn ready at any given moment to be shared with someone. So I thought I
would like to build a web site about Popcorn. Not just any site. But a site that
is fun and has lots of information on it. Something for young and old. But
keeping with family. So I made me a name on the gaming areas I like to go
to. Popcorn Rules is that name. I then started asking people what did they like
about Popcorn. Then I ended up with information that I thought would be fun for
my web. To have people who share the love of Popcorn to share other
things like great movies, favorite books, maybe a short story or a recipe? So I
thought a survey where I would ask them a question then they can answer it and
others can read it. But first I have to learn to build a site. A site of my own
creation. One that my dad would enjoy if he were here and perhaps the Internet
was his choice of surfing. My father was an artist that I loved. So I have
included one of his favorite painters Norman Rockwell. He also loved Ford cars.
He worked at Fords as a Designer. His Favorite team was the Detroit Tigers which out of
six children we all love the sport and the team. So sit back enjoy the page and pages.
Pop some Popcorn and take the survey.
